A new science and technology building
Set on George Mason University’s growing main campus, this 180,000-square-foot project includes classrooms and labs to support the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering. The 180,000-square-foot building was designed by HOK and is the largest building on the Fairfax, Virginia, campus, with flexible new classrooms‚ faculty offices‚ research laboratories‚ and student support space. The first university project to be delivered under Virginia’s PPEA legislation, the Engineering Building includes 20,000 square feet of corporate lease space, designed to create an environment for collaborative research between GMU and the private sector.
