December 2018 - Girard Engineering would like to announce that Andrew Marusich, PE, LEED AP has been named the President of Girard Engineering, PC. Andrew joined Girard Engineering in 1989. Before assuming the role of President, Andrew spent over 13 years directing the Electrical department.  Earning a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the Penn State in 1987, he has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 2004 .

November 2018 - Girard Engineering would like to announce the retirement of Doug Menchhofer, PE. Doug joined Girard Engineering in 1983. He has been an influential leader during his tenure, while managing numerous notable projects during the course of his career. Doug served as company President for 7 years and over 7 years as the head of the mechanical and plumbing departments.  Earning a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee in 1977, he has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 1989. - Girard Engineering thanks Doug for his 35 years of dedicated service and wishes him an enjoyable and relaxing retirement! CONGRATULATIONS DOUG!!!.

Fishing School Makeover – January 2010
Girard Engineering provided pro bono services for the reconstruction of the Fishing School in northeast Washington, D.C. The ambitious project was completed as part of an episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” which aired on the ABC network in February 2010.
